All the light we cannot see in an amazing story about World War 2, showing us the reality of it in the eyes of those who were there. We don't always have to be on the good guys side in the story. In All the light we cannot see; we are shown two sides of a story. Werner is a German boy is only curious of the world and the way it works, but is forced into the war. This war ends up killing him, because the horrors that he had seen caused his so much psychological trauma, causing delirium, which causes him to step on a land mind when he was hallucinating seeing a girl he had seen die in front of him.
Marie-Laure is an innocent blind girl living in Paris who's only dreams at the time is reading her next favorite book with her father. The war causes them to escape to Saint Malo where her is father is eventually taken prisoner, never to be seen or heard from again. Marie-Laure looses everything she holds dear, and is left alone with no one to help guide her, and only a little house in her pocket, with the sea of flames in it to keep her company as she hides from Rumpel.
I would highly recommend this book, to those who appreciate the history of World War 2, and are also fascinated by it. I would not tell much to that person about the book, as to not spoil the story. I would only say it in set during World War 2, and follows two people who are on the opposite sides of the war, but end of finding each other anyways.
